ASTRONAUTS JIM LOVELL AND BUZZ ALDRIN "SHOOT FOR THE MOON" ON NOV. 9 American Heroes Reunite for 40th Anniversary of Gemini 12 Mission and Unveiling of the Adler's New Permanent ExhibitionCHICAGO (October 17, 2006) Ð Celebrate the opening of the Adler's new permanent exhibition Shoot for the Moon and commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Gemini 12 mission at an exclusive press conference and exhibition preview on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell will reunite with the Gemini 12 spacecraft for the first time since it landed in the Atlantic Ocean in November 1966, and discuss their historic mission and their thoughts about the future of space exploration. Shoot for the Moon opens to the public on Veterans' Day, Saturday, November 11, 2006 Ð the 40th anniversary of the Gemini 12 mission. General museum admission will be free for veterans and active military on November 11, 2006 in honor of Veterans' Day.
