Total Eclipse and Highlights of China
![]() On July 22, 2009, 31 travelers led by Adler President Paul H. Knappenberger Jr., PhD viewed the longest eclipse of this century as part of the Adler's Total Eclipse and Highlights of China trip. The Adler group was composed of travelers from across the country and world. The group had a whirlwind tour of China. Beginning in Beijing with the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and the Temple of Heaven, the Adler group then journeyed to Xian's terracotta warriors and Hangzhou's scenic West Lake. The tour concluded amid the skyscrapers of Shanghai.
Pictured at bottom right is a shot of the eclipse near mid totality captured by Adler traveler Mark Christensen, PhD.
