Do you remember the last time you felt so connected to other people that your differences felt small and insignificant? When the beauty of an image or an idea made your spine tingle and your imagination run wild?
The Adler Planetarium creates moments like these every day. At the Adler, you can touch a real piece of the Moon with your hand or look through a telescope and see light that traveled millions of years to reach your eye.
We’re bringing together members of the Adler community for a night of imagination, celebration, and philanthropy. We’ll also honor legendary Chicago meteorologist, Tom Skilling, for his longtime support of the Adler and his legacy as he retires after 45 years at WGN.

The entire museum is yours to explore!
- Find yourself in and on Other Worlds, our newest 5,000 square foot exhibition about exoplanets and understanding our own planet among them
- Journey through the multiverse, lose yourself in music and technicolor wonder, or experience the wonders of the universe through dance in one of these unique sky shows.
- Take a ride in the Atwood Sphere with a live, guided tour of the night sky as it was in 1913.
- Our astronomers and space science experts including Dr. Michelle Larson, will be on hand to geek out with you too!
- Weather-permitting, the Doane Observatory and small telescopes will be out and ready for sky viewing.
- Eat, drink, dance, and celebrate with hundreds of your fellow Chicagoans including beloved WGN meteorologist and former Adler instructor, Tom Skilling.
