What is your favorite space fact you like to share?
You can fit over one million Earths inside the Sun. My point is the Sun is quite bigger than it seems.
What do you like most about working at the Adler?
The view of the skyline and lake. It is a REQUIREMENT to go outside for lunch in the summer.
What is your favorite sky show or exhibition?
Cosmic Wonder, but really any show in the Grainger Theater wins.
What does the Adler’s mission mean to you?
Diversity in science. I’d say half of the Astronomy department (and our CEO) are women! Also, with movies like Hidden Figures, we now know the people of different backgrounds who were involved in planet exploration. Also, our activities for teens and events like Adler After Dark and Reel Science engage EVERYONE to learn about the Universe!
Share one interesting fact about yourself.
I have this new obsession with purple hair. My co-workers have gotten glimpses in the past few months, but I’ve toned it down because it was getting out of control.
What do you like to do outside of the Adler?
Sadly, shopping. An expensive but therapeutic hobby. I wanted to be a fashion major in college, but somehow veered off to Accounting. I guess they relate, right?
