Teens
Adler Teen Programs offer a variety of after-school activities that inspire and train teens currently enrolled in high school to become space enthusiasts and science ambassadors. Through Adler programming, Chicagoland teens are able to contribute to real scientific research, participate in life-enriching programming, and provide a diverse voice and perspective to the Adler. Adler teens are empowered to share their unique perspectives and contribute to the Adler community.
With programs that fit a wide variety of interests and needs, the Adler has something to offer all teens. In 2019, the Adler became the first planetarium in space thanks to the work of teens in our ThinSat program. We are also the first organization of any kind to conduct a light pollution survey of the sky over Chicago—with local teens at the helm! We also offer after-school resume workshops, professional development opportunities, and so much more.
